River Deep, Mountain High

Off to Canyonlands National Park this morning for sunrise - so an early start to the day! Arrived at Mesa Arch before the sun came up only to find hoards of people already there. Grrr... The sunrise came up behind clouds to the majority of the people left - then about 30 minutes later the light came out and it looked stunning! More fool them for leaving too soon.

This was taken from just by Mesa Arch looking out across the canyon. At the bottom somewhere is the Colorado River, with the stacks all around. The Rockies are in the background.

The afternoon was spent in Arches National Park - stunning scenery again, but I have to admit that after the early start I was struggling (and feeling a little photoed-out) by the end...
