Taking In The Yankee

Here are my colleagues taking in the Yankee.
Now there is only one yankee (the number 3 we call this one) in the net, but when the races start we also have the Yankee number 2 (a bit bigger than number 3) in the net.
The Yankee is like an old fashioned turbo. When heaved, it directs the wind in such a manner to the mainsail, in combination with the jib, that the forward momentum will be bigger. That means more speed development.
