Point de la Torche
But I guess
That I can live without you but
Without you I'll be miserable at best
Thom finally managed to surf, something he has been wanting to do the entire season, but being unable to get to the surfing beach (it being about 45 minutes or so by car, so not within biking distance!) without having a lift it seemed impossible! Luckily a very lovely family with spaces in their car offered us a lift for our afternoon off, as the morning was spent waiting in for another linen delivery…so off we went with them and another family to the beach! Everyone was happy…Thom got to surf, I got to sunbathe on a beach, and the families got a surfing teacher for their boys in the form of Thom so all was well! In case you hadn’t guessed, this is Thom surfing!
The day continued into evening with the same two families, the evening involving a barbeque, beers, wine and port…with us convincing the parents that the teenaged boys should be allowed to try some alcohol as it was a social and convivial atmosphere and definitely the best way to introduce them to a beer, or a little port. No time like the present ey!
Such a lovely day had by all, and very difficult for me to choose the photograph for today as there were some absolutely stunning silhouettes of the lads playing rugby at sunset and some great shots of the beach, but it had to be one of Thom really, as I also just loved the detail of the foaming water on this photograph.
