FREEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! That was me at 3pm doing a William Wallace. Yelling as I logged off I mean, not bleeding all over the carpet with bits and bobs hanging out. I closed my laptop lid and stood up to punch the air and dance round the front room. I stubbed my toe on a chair leg and made my whole arm tingle when my hand caught the glass light shade. There goes glamorous me again, my wild 'fling caution to the wind' spirit instantly tamed by a sore toe, stinging hand, swinging light shade and....the doorbell and a rheumy eye peering through the window at me!
Why do I never hear the doorbell first time? Why do people always peer through the window at me doing daft things like dancing like a demented chimpanzee? Oh well, it was an Amazon delivery man on the doorstep with my DVD box set of Roots. I'd never seen it and it was on special offer. The delivery man who really did look like he had only one eye asked me to sign his screen but said he wasn't sure he'd got the right house as he couldn't make out the house number on the address label and wasn't too sure about the street name either! Good grief! After Mr Magoo had left and fumbled his way back to his van, I closed the blinds on my front room office and sighed with relief.
After a day of clearing up, finishing off and leaving instructions, it was good to close the door and go for a bit of violent floor scrubbing to ease the tension away. Bliss!
There is nothing much else to say really. I'm going up to stay with mom in Ayr on Saturday for a few days and will then go to Edinburgh next Thursday for a week. Whoopee!
Apart from anything else, it means that after tomorrow I will take different pictures instead of cute tits, surly starlings and overweight pigeons like this nice fellow. Best viewed even larger!!
I am quite excited now as I have just been making arrangements via text with DavzoBroon to meet everyone for drinks next Friday and then on Sunday (allowing time for the Friday night hangover to abate) we shall be meeting up again to go blipping! I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone again. I just hope I don't get eaten by Bailey and Buddy - Lesley and Shev's dogs! ;-) Mind you, there isn't a lot to eat on me.....
Track? I heard this on the radio today for the first time in a while and it makes me feel cheerful! Something from The Waterboys - Fisherman's Blues
