Kinder Transport

Another trip up to the Royal Mile today. Well, it would almost be rude not to at this time of year.

I rattled off a few shots and was just getting into my stride when the heavens opened. Pah!

I had scarcely had time to mutter a meteorologically-directed curse when I spotted Tonto, hastily stuffing his not-very-waterproof Canon into his bag. I made my way across and, whilst stuffing my not-very-waterproof Nikon into my bag, enquired as to whether he had a spare umbrella for a distressed fellow blipper. Sadly, neither he nor his (non-blipper) friend could oblige, so I bade them farewell and scurried for cover.

What was I doing without an umbrella? In Edinburgh. In the summer. Call it optimism... recklessness... stupidity...

I'm looking forward to seeing Tonto's blip today. I always look forward to seeing Tonto's blip, but today more than usual :-)
