It's good to see that Edinburgh is showing off its best side to the hoards of vulnerable young people who have just enrolled in the University's Fresher's Week. Somehow I don't think this young man was interested - he chose wisely!

The driver of the van stared hard and gave me the finger once he had turned the corner. Another interesting welcome - what does he expect when he is driving a van with such a provocative sign on it?
