Discovery

This is just one of the apple trees that Richard planted in the walled garden 6 or 7 years ago. He's given up the walled garden, it was too much for one person, but the apple trees keep on giving us fruit. Discovery is an early fruiting apple, it is crisp, juicy, refreshing, slightly tart, a really lovely apple. Why is it not in the shops?

I'm slowly recovering from the disappointing scan result of a week ago, my feeling is now one of sadness and acceptance. What can you do? You carry on living.
