Night life

I decided about 8pm I wanted some fresh air and exercise so I grabbed the camera, put on my walking boots and decided to climb a hill and watch the sunset. The path I'd seen before petered out but it looked as if there were others - in fact they were old terraces, and all overgrown with waist-high lentisc and wild olives. After a lot of scrambling, I got to a good enough vantage point, but the sunset was nothing spectacular, and I realised I had better get down the hill while I could still see where I was going. I had fleeting thoughts of what would happen if I broke my ankle, since no-one knew I was there.
An hour or so later, I got back to the village, finding the only people around in the dark were the under-20s - they get the run of the place after dark, as if they were ghosts or vampires.
