Churches in Prince Edward Island are prominent in the landscape, whether large or small. Many have stood the test of time, but many have been lost due to dwindling congregations or lost ministerial staff. Some church buildings transform to house businesses or art galleries. Some become private residences.
Many churches here have a graveyard/cemetery adjoined. This is not common on our west coast.
