Black berries

So.... Monday night was the first and hopefully only time I've ever blipped in complete darkness. It turns out we had fallen victim to a "cable fault" - whatever one of those is when it's at home.
Here we see some black berries. Yes, I know they're not blackberries but they're definitely black berries. Perhaps the horticulturally inclined amongst you could offer a more precise definition? Think I might be suffering from nature deficit disorder!
