Tired

This is our cat Ziggy who we got a year ago today from the ScottishSPCA. He had been found abandoned and covered in oil as a young kitten. He was very shy and had been in the rescue centre for several weeks as he hid at the back of his pen so no one wanted him.
He'd clearly been mistreated. When we first got him, if he scratched us then he immediately cowered as if we would hit him. He often panicked over noises and was terrified of men.
Now however, he is a confident and happy cat. I think he will always be wary of strangers but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
I had intended taking a cute picture of him but loved that I'd caught him in full yawn so decided to use this one instead.
