Mexican Memories/Desperation Blip
It was getting late and I couldn't figure out what to blip, so I pulled out the little bottle of shells and other beach treasures I collected in Mexico. The shawl is from a trip to Ecuador 3 years ago.
The three intricate disc-shaped "shells" with what looks like spirals are called snails feet and are among my favorite of the things we collected on the beaches in Mexico. They're what snails in the intertidal zone have at the bottom of their bodies to seal in moisture at low tide.
Also featured are a puffer-fish spine and a shark vertebrae!
