David

Today I shot a couple of portraits of David Voetelink, a new member of the board of directors at the Erasmus hospital in Rotterdam. David is an active man, who does a lot of cycling and mountain biking. This summer he did a 3 week tour in Kyrgyzstan and last year he rode the complete route of the tour the France.

So we decided to make an actionshot of him: I mounted my camera with remote on the front of his bike. But 30 seconds and 5 frames into the shoot it started to rain so hard, we had to take cover under the trees. We quickly shot a few more portraits before we ran back to his garage. We checked the images and decided that we had the shots we needed. We talked a bit more and watched the heavy rain outside. The stream of water falling from his roof looked so good, I just had to use it in an extra portrait. So I decided to get wet and shoot a few extra frames from the rain...
