Birth number 8 (This week)

Yet another cow filled day. This morning I found the confused mother from yesterday leading her calf down to the water trough and a fee seconds later I spied another new calf feeding from its mother, at least we will be able to identify this one as all the others are all black!

Back to Lamberts with Jinxy this afternoon all and all was peaceful, cows were chewing the cud and calves dotted about between them sleeping.

Jinxy suddenly stuck his head into a patch of brambles and all I could see was his tail wagging, I called him off and a first could I couldn't see what he was after then I looked closer and there calf No756, the one with the confused mother, laying there. He didn't move and no sign of his mum so we went on out way. I am sure Jinxy had been licking it!
