Thurso Salmon

Fished the River Thurso association water.

It was windy and sunny all day. Difficult fishing conditions but great for a beer and snooze on the river bank.

On the way back down the river we found a pool that was shaded by a steep bank and thought it looked good. Within 10 minutes I had hooked a fish and it went on a couple of runs before dropping the hook. Dave went in after me and hooked another one - a 13lb fresh salmon.

Tackling down next to the graveyard and Purdey had a bit of a spooky barking session at nothing in particular. Hmmm, some fishy spirits maybe.
