La mammarazza

By MarieNoelle

Good old days

My grandparents died a quarter of a century ago. We still have their house. They had two cellars: one for wine, one for preserves (and more wine!). They made copious amounts of asparagus and green bean preserves, not to mention cherry and plum eau-de-vie, some of which is still there as you can see. This morning I went scavenging in cellar no. 2 for a few jars for my greengage jam. Nicely bubbling as we speak.
