...We overheard one man exclaim near the Lock today whilst we were walking down along there.."She's an old Beauty alright" he said, and mentioned some day he'll take a ride on her..

...Yes, this is the old Rothbury again, heading for the Landing upstream, to be moored for the night, until tomorrow when off she'll paddle, downstream two or three times again...

...And with a few more passengers on board too today, on this sunny day and yes, she can move alright - she's the fastest paddle steamer on the river right here, and quite old too, having been built in 1881..
