One Tree Hill

Actually it is None Tree Hill now, due to the felling of the single tree growing at the summit of One Tree Hill by chainsaw, in October 2000 by Maori activists.
The obelisk at the top of this volcanic cone is a prominent Auckland landmark and a great viewing point.
As it was blowing forty thousand bastards at the top and a bit gloomy to boot photographs were difficult.
Lots of history here so google it if you please.
