A wild day followed by wild night

STRONG winds today as forecast, played havoc with all manner of things. One of the casualties was our roof. the tiles were dislodged by the gusty wind, the firebrigade were way over stretched handling all the problems so we called a roofer who gamely climbed on to the roof and repaired the tiles and the hole. Thank goodness we were water tight again. We had tea then the power went out. out came the candles so we were light by five candle power, luckily we have gas hobbs so we could make coffee. We played scrabble on the ipad, I lost as usual :(, went to bed early and this morning woke to power again. Yay
