Oldest ship in the world
The oldest ship in the world, origins in australia, has just been crane lifted onto this barge from the old slip way in Irvine.
Where it's been sitting in decay for years.
Australian business men have paid for it to be taken by barge Southampton then lifted inside a container ship off to Oz to be fully restored.
Barge + supportive structure alone cost £5 million!!
Think the ship is called the "Carrick".
Guy down next to us said its main dock was in Adelaide + almost 1 in 5 people from their will have had a family member travel on that ship!
Its means to be leaving Irvine harbour on thursday @ some point!
