Let's make a list

So much for Ann saying she was going to get her life back and continue with our '100 places in Cornwall starting with a P challenge?!!'

Today she finished work at 'STAR' at 2pm although she’s brought home hundreds of pillow cases to iron, which is probably another 3-4 hours of work and her plan was to take me to Lands End because she has a locals parking permit which allows her to park there for free and walk me to ‘Pedn-men-du’ so that she could blip me in another Cornish place that started with P. However, that would have involved a round trip of an hour and a half driving and a walk of an hour and a half and she said that she was too busy to take three hours out of her afternoon.

.................So I got an hours’ walk around all my usual haunts in town.

Then when we got home I asked to play on the sun terrace and Ann came out with me to check how hot it was for wine drinking purposes but decided that 5pm is too early to be wine o’clock and noticed that all the plants are dead.
She said, ‘Molly that’s another thing to put on my list!’

Ann has a list of jobs that need doing and her list is getting longer and longer because she just doesn’t have the time to do any jobs. It’s all very well making a list of stuff to do but it’s not very satisfying if nothing ever gets crossed of the list.

.............And while we’re on the subject of stuff on Ann’s list – she’s decided to enrol on a ‘Silver & copper jewellery making night class’ at Penwith Collage and has been trying to enrol by phone for the last couple of days but all she’s getting is an recorded message saying no-one is in the office. Honestly in this day and age you would have thought that she would have been able to enrol online???? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr............................ She can’t go there in person because by the time she’s finished work, walked me and driven to Penzance the enrolment office will be closed so I guess she’s going to have to apply by snail mail???

Ann says owning a gorgeous little collie like me takes up a lot of her time?!!

Another thing on Ann’s list is – ‘Get plumber to sort out why the overflow pipe is dripping’. We did actually manage to get the plumber to look at this last week but only because he was dealing with an emergency at the holiday let next door and he said he’d come back. It’s getting worse – but the trouble with the tradesmen in this town is – they deal with the emergency holiday let problems first obviously........... because holiday makers can be very moany and demand compensation for every single little thing that isn’t 100% perfect and us locals just have to wait. Tony if you’re reading this ................. Ann needs you!!!!!

Ann has sooooo many things on her ‘to do list’.

.....................But do you know what? Top of Ann’s list is ME!!!

It doesn’t matter how tired she is, or how much work she has to do, or how many things are on her list .......................... I am Ann’s number one priority. YAY!

Dead plants can wait – the sun terrace is sunny!

.................And now it’s almost 6pm – wine o’clock!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
