New feature: Blipfolio
New feature time again, and this one's a biggie... we're even more delighted and excited than normal to announce the release of Blipfolio, the dedicated portfolio site for Blipfoto members.
If you're a founding member, you'll find a new option just below 'My Journal' in the main menu on the home page, called 'My Blipfolio'. To set up your folio, just give it a click.
The first time you visit your Blipfolio, you'll be given a quick guided tour, after which you can start uploading images. Once you've added some content and enabled your folio, a new link will appear both on your journal (see the bottom of this entry for an example) and on your about page.
Blipfolio serves a very different purpose to Blipfoto and we'd really like to encourage you to use it in a different way. As you'd expect, the same rules apply about copyright and content, but we're keen that you use your folio to promote yourself commercially, upload non-photographic images or designs, add your own logo and overlay text to your heart's content.
We really hope you like it and find it useful. Feel free to leave a quick comment (and of course a link to your Blipfolio when you've got it sorted) below, but if you have any detailed questions, problems or suggestions, please help us track and deal with them properly by adding a reply to this forum thread.
One more thing before we go...
Every time a new feature is released, we receive a barrage of emails from contributors - many of whom joined up after the founding membership period - asking how they can access the member features.
So, in the next few days, we'll be making the full 12 month membership available to everyone, with instant access to all features released to date. If you're one of those who's been asking, look out for a link on the home page and an announcement here on the Blipblog.
There are still a few features (five, to be exact) due for release in the coming weeks. As with the founding membership, the clock won't start ticking on new members until everything on the list is done and dusted.
