Okay, so it's a pretty flower and you've probably all got one just like it in your garden, but it was all I could find to blip today!

A busy day in the garden, mainly for the Head Gardener, who was following my instructions to pull out a huge clump of old heather which was threatening to take over the border. We did think of cutting it back, but it was so brown and dead underneath that it would have looked an eye-sore until it grew back again.

The area looks so much better now and there's room to plant a couple of hebes that have been waiting in pots for over a year until there was a free space for them:-)

He spotted two frogs lurking under the roots, but they hopped off to pastures new before Simba got an eyeful, so they were quite safe.

Crazy weather today, as it started off quite cool then got hotter and hotter this afternoon. Not really ideal for strenuous gardening (him), but perfect for sitting giving orders (me)!! It's my gammy leg, you know:-)
