The power of flowers

Today was the first of the real chilly days that leave summer far behind! I love the change of season, anyway, but could have done with a little less rain.

Apart from the rain and my newly-acquired pack of fair-weather dogs (they're missing summer too), it was nice to finally get home and chill out for the afternoon....and my beautiful flowers* have all opened up really nicely, so decided they'd be a much better blip than a wet dog/miserable day one :-)
