Birthday boy

It was R's Birthday through the week so I took him and a few pals to Largs for the day while E and his Dad were at Dundee, E playing football - now there's a surprise!
Age 10, my goodness already!!! He was only just over 1 when I started working in the Hospice!
It was the Largs Viking festival this weekend, an annual festival celebrating an ancient Viking battle. I had planned to go and visit the Viking village which was set up, but the boys had other plans.
I had an afternoon filled with school boy humour, burping and silly jokes, you know the kind!
So we went ten pin bowling then to Toni Macaroni's for tea which is part of the Nardini's cafe - highly recommend it. And, of course , you can't go to Largs for the day without getting an ice-cream from Nardini's it's a must!
They piled back to ours for a sleep over and went home today about 1pm. They are a good bunch, no bother at all.
