Sunset on the first day

I feel more settled now and beginning to relax. Had a short lie in, breakfast wasn't up to much, then unpacked and read for the morning. Met Sayed, the Rep, at lunchtime. He's great and really helpful. I can't do some of the excursions I had originally planned, only very local ones running. However, between us we came up with a plan and itinerary for the next two weeks which I'm happy with. It's going to make this a very special trip as well as time for relaxing and recharging the batteries and time for processing my pictures. I'm not going to tell you what's planned, you'll have to wait and see! :-)

Lunch was ok. I gather food isn't going to be great but it'll keep me going. Spent a lovely afternoon by and in the pool. I'm not good at the sitting sunbathing lark. The pool is great and the hotel isn't crowded so there's plenty of space. I've never been able to swim to the bar and sit on a bar stool in the water before! I've enjoyed reading and finished the book I started yesterday on the flight. Only downside of the pool is that they spoil the atmosphere by playing rock music far too loud, I am sure you'll be able to hear it in the UK! At least when I swim my head is under water and I can't hear it.

Sunset is 5.45pm so things change quickly. I'm sitting outside in the bar on my own because it's the only place I can get internet. While typing the light has faded and I can't see the keyboard anymore!

My room is first floor balcony on the left side of the building on the right so this is the reverse view of yesterday's photo.

Meant to say it was 32degrees when we touched down at 8.30pm yesterday. It apparently has been in the 40s today but it feels pleasant.
