Amazing Rare Things

Wonderful Day! Took this shot - early low sun behind the poppy. Meter and lens coped really well. Then off to Edinburgh with Liz to Queen's Gallery at Holyrood. Had great lunch and much talk, then to the Amazing Rare Things exhibition. Lots of beautiful sketches, drawings and paintings of plants and animals from the royal collectionby Leonardo, Marshall, Merian and Catesby. Great audio commentary by David Attenborough. If you can manage in to Edinburgh before 17th Sept, it is really worth the trip.
Then to the highland outfitters to be measured and fitted for a kilt and jacket for our wedding. All went to plan.
Then home, food, wine.
