I am in considerable pain today (and all last night) so the doctor, my GP, has given me a morphine injection. Our surgery is also chasing up the letter from the Consultant. Mrs GOG rang the consultant’s secretary at Addenbrookes this morning to see whether the letter had been sent to our surgery only to be told that letters take a minimum of two weeks as ‘they are busy’. Mrs GOG was about the ring PALs at Addenbrookes to complain, but our GP is now chasing for the referral letter to the Pain Clinic, the Neuro-Physiotherapy department and to the surgeon who previously operated on my back.

Mrs GOG took this picture with her iPhone as we walked home from the surgery. Currently three hours after the injection, nothing much seems to have changed.
