Catch of The day

A weekend down at the cabin this weekend, which was lovely. lots of time spent on the boat supposedly fishing. The mackerel however werent playing fair and we didnt succeed in catching our tea. However before we went proper fishing we were catching shrimps, crabs, starfish and all sorts of little fish from the dock.
This little chap was the best of the bunch and a very unexpected catch. In Norwegian it's called a "tangsnelle" as far as I can figure which I believe in English is a "deep snouted pipefish". It was a pretty cool wee thing anyway. The girls were thrilled with it!
Home now to catch the election results (we voted ahead of time) and also to see the outcome of the Olympic referendum ie as to whether the citizens of Oslo want it here in 2022. I'd love it but for some reason there seems such a general negativity towards it. Too many spoilt folk that went to Lillehammer in 94 and an awful lot of old residents that were here when they had it in the 50's!! Killjoy ing it for the rest of us who'd love to experience it. Crossing my fingers and toes :-)
