Abandoned Railroad Buildings

In Two Harbors today we did a little bit of trespassing (Shhhh!) This is the inside of abandoned railroad buildings. The buildings were like a huge maze. The oldest were built in 1888 and have been vacant since the 1970's. The city now owns the property and has been trying to demolish them for years but cannot come up with the funds. Apparently some government grant money is now available so demolition can begin. (This from a March 2013 report I read in the local newspaper). I am anxious to see what becomes of this prime property along the harbor.

After our exploration of these buildings we headed home. We have done so much over the last two days that it feels like we have been gone for more than 36 hours! Listened to the Vikings lose their first football game of the season.
