Something Lovely

Something Rosy

How I adore the re-visiting rain.
After an extraordinary church service preached by Tim, my family and I drove back home together in the same car. (which is rare--considering one vehicle usually doesn't fit us all, haha!) Along the way, I spotted it rising from the horizon. A dark, ominous cloud with pounds of rain falling from it as it came towards us. Again, a dreadfully wonderful delight washed over me while we pulled into our garage. My father and Ian left for a concert and I stayed home to relax and work on other things. I'll be honest--they didn't get done. As soon as the rain, thunder, and daytime lightning met our house, I simply couldn't concentrate. Like a child, I got out an umbrella and danced bare foot in the rain.

Even my cat (my cat! ) followed me around the yard as I took photos of various plants and wildlife. This afternoon couldn't be any more splendid. Chilled to the bone, I returned to my home to feast on warm toast and fizzing vanilla soda. What a grand day, indeed...

But to make things even more interesting; unexpected visitors arrived at my domain without my knowing. Ian brought over a few our friends and we all gabbed and laughed and spoke to one another in gleeful tones! It's been awhile since the gang has gotten together--it felt good to relax and kick back with one another in tales and dreams. At these precious moments in life I'm very happy to alive and well :) Glory be to God for such amazing days of nature, revelation, and fellowship!
Birdy out!
