Reflections

Today has been a hectic but really enjoyable and chilled day. G and I were up early and headed out to the launderette. Can't wait to get the new kitchen fitted in the house. Whilst waiting for the cycle to finish we headed out for a walk by the river. It was really peaceful with only a handful of morning joggers and dog walkers out.

As we walked along the river path, behind the university, I snapped this shot. The river was really still and this is actually a reflection of one of the buildings rotated 180 degrees.

Mid morning I headed out to the craft centre as I was starting crochet lessons today. I am not 100% why I picked crochet but I wanted to learn a new skill. It is amazing how quickly you can pick it up and I managed to make a not so scruffy crochet square after only and hour and a half. Maybe when I am more proficient I will blip my creations. It was very relxing and theraputic and I completely lost track of time.

I hurried home to pick up G as we were off to the ice rink to meet friends and watch their boys play in the junior league. It was my first ice hockey match and I was amazed at how agile and talented the young kids were already!

A quick trip to the pub after the game for lunch was much needed after such a hectic morning, and despite almost being put off my the ridiculous calorie counts on the menu we all enjoyed lunch.

It's been a nice chilled evening just catching up on some TV and preparing for the start of term tomorrow. An early night is calling.
