Survivor

I thought this was a sunflower until it opened. Perhaps it is another variety? I planted so many seeds in the garden with Ophelia this spring and they're all growing willy nilly in the border because she just scattered them everywhere, heheh. This one is growing close to the scene of last week's sunflower disaster. It isn't as big as the other ones and there are a few more like this here and there in the garden that haven't flowered yet. The good news is that the injured sunflower from last week that I thought was dead has started to come to life again and isn't so droopy. Must have taken it a while to get the water from the pot I planted it in through its system. I wonder if it will still flower?
