Hovering hoverflys part 3

One day, one day I'll get the shot I want of these little buggers. And that day is a step closer today. I've finally offloaded by 18-105mm lens and that proceeds of that sale will be funding the Sigma ring flash I've got my eye on which should mean that shots like these will be a lot easier as I'll be able to get some proper DoF. The downside of that of course is that shooting at f32 or whatever will mean the loss of the bokeh effect to some degree. Not so good.

Anyway, can't say I'm finished with these yet. If the light holds tomorrow night I'll have another go. Right now there's a sunset waiting to happen and I'm off out to get that instead.
