Lancaster

My blips have been a bit like buses lately, some days none to be seen, then other days like today too many to choose from. Today I was up early taking some great reminders of the wonderful sunny late summer day we have had, as I went on a long walk with the dog. I then spent another couple of happy hours in the afternoon beach-combing with camera in hand.

However this blip is for my other half. I quite by chance passed the air base as this Lancaster was waiting at the end of the runway, leaving after the air show yesterday, and jumped out of the car to try and capture it for MOH. It was a real thrill to watch it taxi and take off, especially on such a stunning day. Didn't have myself down as a plane spotter, but there you go, and the other half was well pleased with the shots.
