Birth Of A Forest Fire
This is clearly not a great photo, but it was dark and I had not tripod. We were camped at Indian Creek on the Main Salmon in Idaho, cooking dinner at the time. A storm moved in and lightening was close by. One strike was less than 1/4 mile down river (just above the river) from our camp. It started a small fire, which eventually burned itself out. It was a real treat (since it didn't really become a big forest fire) to see how they start.
