Fire!

Most of the day was spent in the less pretty part of Ashkelon, closing my bank account ( well, I only left 5 years ago, no-one's ever in a hurry over here! ), eating falafel and drinking coffee. The falafel was going to be my blip until we spotted the above in the early evening.

The fire is ripping through a wood behind the sewage works behind the kibbutz. I'm happy to say the wind was blowing in the right direction as far as we were concerned. Three fire trucks are down there and then along came two planes to douse the flames from above. All very exciting for a while. It's out now and as far as we know, nobody was hurt and no property damaged. There'll be falafel another day!
