Our national tree?

We had our first Tag Rugby tournament of the new season today, great rugby from the youngsters and not rusty at all after the summer.
We went for lunch afterwards at the Isle of Mull Hotel and this was taken in the grounds. The title alludes to a recent discussion in the Scottish press about whether we should have a national tree and which one to chose?
I rather like the Scots Pine or Caledonian Pine but the Rowan is also a front runner - any favourites?
