Three Firsts!

..a Second and a Third! Yes, you guessed it, it was the Village Show today run by the Horticultural Society and the fine weather ensured that it was heaving with people enjoying the brass band and cream teas in between viewing the exhibits.

This morning I walked to Jen and Pete's village to wander around the scarecrow festival. This year's theme was Cullywood (a hybrid of Cullingworth and Hollywood) and Jen had produced a brilliant dinosaur scarecrow which was entitled Jurassic Parkside as she lives on Parkside. There were some great exhibits and by the time I was turning for home I was ready for a cuppa and free cake at the Village Hall. Then it was off to the show.

I was very pleased to win firsts in the Landscape, Animal and Local view classes!
