On the lookout

Lovely morning today so decided to tackle a walk we had been meaning to do for some time, the path out to Rubha Hunish, the most northern part of Skye. My parents did the walk many years ago but I and hubby had never been before. There were spectacular views out to the Western Isles, it was so clear you could just make out some the houses! We got as far as the old Coastguard lookout and then the path decended down a very steep drop, neither hubby or I fancied it, both being less than happy with heights so we stopped for a while to take in the view and then headed back the way we had came.

This is a blip of the old Coastguard lookout with the view over to the Western Isles. The lookout has now been turned into a bothy for walkers, what a spectacular place to spend the night!
