Fly me to the moon
A hot day and a strenuous walk halfway up a mountain. Bob was feeing a bit unwell, then very unwell. Nurse Mavis (with 20 years experience on the NHS front line) and our guide, Oliver, considered it serious. So, a helicopter was called-in. We were on a very steep slope and the pilot decided a landing was not possible. The doctor and gendarme jumped-off the helicopter (!) and strolled over to us. They assessed Bob as in need of a visit to the hospital. A long line was dropped and Bob winched-away. Bob doesn’t like heights, but he made the best of the situation.
Several hours, and two hospitals later, the verdict was a kidney stone. Bob was discharged with come painkillers
