Night at the Museum

Museumsnacht in Kassel was really cool. Finally got the chance to see the Brüder Grimm exhibition in the Dokumenta Halle. I made an attempt to read all the Grimm's fairytales last year but had to give up as they were really freaking me out!! In their original versions they're seriously weird and (some would say) not entirely suitable for children.
Learnt from this exhibition that Jacob Grimm also wrote a German grammar text (!) and a dictionary of the German language the plaque for which told us that he spent years on the letter D and died whilst trying to define the word 'fruit'. For some reason this made me have an uncontrollable fit of the giggles.

Herr L and I also went to the Naturkundmuseum, all the exhibitions at the Kulturbahnhof and the Frediricianum - which was turned into a mixture of art gallery & cool club for the night.

A great mix of culture and partying.
