Meeting in Second Life

We had a meeting this evening in Second Life where we discussed how we plan to use 3D virtual worlds in education in the next academic year. We had educators from a number of countries in this meeting and that is the main advantage of meeting in virtual worlds - people, as avatars, can come into this environment and from their desks (without having to travel) and yet have a face-to-face like experience.

As soon as the notes of this meeting are available on the Web, I will post a link here - the notes will give several examples of how colleagues are planning to use 3D virtual worlds in teaching and learning in schools and higher education institutions.
