I paid off and destroyed my Halifax card last week after a bit of a surprise payment demand and non payment fine. (Yes! This is a quick rant). I was surprised today with a statement with an outstanding balance of £0.34 having paid an extra £0.80p when I rang to pay it off. I then attempted to contact them but the phones are automatic. I no longer have the relevant info to access the site. Having wasted 20minutes I will now have to write and explain: £0.50p for a stamp and more wasted time.....
