Swallowtail

We came across a handful of Swallowtail Butterflies while we were out on a walk near Maro, on the coast.
I hadn't realised just how fast butterflies can fly, absolutely no way i could get a shot of them in flight.
Probably not the best time to take shots of these beautiful and fragile creatures, the midafternoon sunshine was very very bright and directly overhead, so sadly lost some of the wing colouring.
Still, better this image than no image at all.
