Mementos

The word for today brought to mind two very special women in my life - my mom and my daughter. These are mementos from them. My grandparents all around were Italian immigrants to the U.S. On my mothers side from a small town near Naples called Avellino. My dads side was from Sicily. The cameo was given to me by my mom shortly before she passed away and it had come from her parents hometown. The earrings belonged to my daughter, Sumner, and since she is now my angel, these wings are very special. They make me think of her flying free, which she always talked about doing when she was just a little child.
