Caramel Shortcake

Lovely normal Saturday. The eldest and the littlest and I went into town in the morning to pick up a beavers jumper for the new recruit and some presents for forthcoming birthdays. We picked up my mum too which was a bonus.

In the afternoon we hung out at home and then up at the park, getting the bikes out for the first time in ages.

After the kids were all asleep and the kitchen tidied up, I made some caramel shortcake to satisfy my eldest son's cravings for twix. It's the first time I've ever made it so have no idea how it'll turn out. The swirly chocolate is taking ages to cool and set though and it's nightly frustrating!
