Why do I always do it?

You would think that having reached this advanced age, I would know that today was not a day to hang out washing. I saw a weather forecast on the television - and there was a yellow warning for heavy rain in our part of the country.

But it's no good - it must be my hormones or something - when I do a washing (or in this case two) I feel an overwhelming urge to hang it outside. I persuade myself that it will only be a shower and that the clothes will be dry in an hour. I'm sure it goes way back to my childhood.

Anyway - eventually I had to put the sodden pile back in the washing machine, give it a spin and start all over again ..........................
