Sea, Sand and Sandwiches

Spent the afternoon at a beautiful Fife seaside village called Aberdour. The view across the Firth of Forth to East Lothian, Edinburgh, the Pentland Hills and the Forth Rail Bridge was one of the most amazing vistas I have ever seen. The weather was squally with sunshine and then showers - we had great fun having a picnic and watching the boats coming and going up and down the Firth (from little sailing boats to hugh tankers) and watching the weather approaching from across the water. Afterwards we did a circular walk from the Black Sands beach to the Silver Sands beach and to Aberdour Castle. An idyllic place.
