Ortakoy

This side street in Ortakoy is oh-so typical of old Istanbul districts - cobble stones, narrow, hilly and hopelessly overcrowded with Ottoman period wooden buildings - but unusually empty at the moment I grabbed this shot when Celeste, Karen and I were finishing yesterday's mission buying stuff for the Art Studios plus some wine and shampoo.

This is the afternoon when Karen thought she had lost her purse that turned up in her bag of lettuce after the morning when Connie-Dog had a 'funny turn' that, not for the first time, but definitely the worst time, frightened us both for the ten seconds that it lasted.

For the record: Sunny @ 27ºC and only 28% humidity made it a lovely September Istanbul day.
